Evaluations

All dogs must be interviewed by other campers and camp staff prior to their first visit.  This is just an opportunity to feel comfortable that your dog will work out in this type of environment, both for their safety and that of the other campers.  You will stay with your dog for about 15-20 minutes and then leave them for a day of care or less if they are a bit nervous around others to start.  Your dog will be videotaped during this process for review when you pick them up.  We currently only accept dogs under 35 pounds, and they must be neutered or spayed.

If your dog is just a little shy around other dogs, he/she may benefit from slowly building their confidence in doggy daycare before trying an overnight stay. Special care is given by the staff to slowly introduce fearful animals to other dogs. Additionally, a separate building with suites is reserved for these special guests. Every effort is made to ensure the happiness of all the dogs at Miss Daisy's Dog Camp.

To make sure that your pet feels as comfortable as possible when you leave them for extended stays, each camper must attend a least one day of daycare or board at least once each month. This program keeps them comfortable with the facility, helps our staff to stay familiar with their personality and helps to ensure no problems in transition from your home to camp.
